Development of RNA aptamers as molecular probes for HER2+ breast cancer study using cell-SELEX
Objective(s): Development of molecules that specifically recognize cancer cells is one of the major areas in cancer research. Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is specifically expressed on the surface of breast cancer cells. HER2 is associated with an aggressive phenotype and poor prognosis. In this study we aimed to isolate RNA aptamers that specifically bind to HER2 overexpressi...
متن کاملMolecular beacon-functionalized gold nanoparticles as probes in dry-reagent strip biosensor for DNA analysis.
The highly specific molecule recognition properties of molecular beacons (MB) are combined with the unique optical properties of gold nanoparticles (Au-NPs) for the development of a dry-reagent strip-type nucleic acid biosensor (DSNAB) that enables sensitive and low-cost detection of nucleic acid samples within 15 min.
متن کاملSynthesis and Characterization of Arylamine Derivatives of Rauwolscine as Molecular Probes for a2-Adrenergic Receptors
The selective a2-adrenergic receptor antagonist rauwolscine was structurally modified to yield a series of arylamine carboxamide derivatives, which were investigated as potential molecular probes for the localization and structural characterization of a2-adrenergic receptors. The arylamine carboxamides differ in the number of carbon atoms separating the reactive phenyl moiety from the fused rin...
متن کاملL-proline-catalyzed synthesis of highly functionalized multisubstituted 1,4-dihydropyridines.
Highly functionalized multisubstituted 1,4-dihydropyridines 5 have been concisely synthesized in moderate to good yields via L-proline-catalyzed one-pot multicomponent reactions (MCRs) of alkynoates or alkynones 1, amines 2, beta-dicarbonyl compounds 3 and aldehydes 4 under mild conditions. The MCR process involves hydroamination/Knoevenagel condensation/Michael-type addition/intramolecular cyc...
متن کاملPhotoluminescent organosilane-functionalized carbon dots as temperature probes.
Organosilane-functionalized carbon dots (SiC-dots) were prepared by a simple one-pot hydrothermal approach. The photoluminescence (PL) properties of the SiC-dots revealed a reversible response toward the temperature (293-343 K). Through Si-O-Si bonding, temperature-sensitive PL SiC-dot films could be easily fabricated on glass substrates.
